𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Information obtained from local sources indicates that armed groups reportedly aligned with elements of the political opposition to the Federal Government of Somalia have established roadblocks along the main transport corridor connecting Mogadishu and Galmudug, particularly on the coastal route.

The armed groups, reportedly supported by allied clan-based militias operating in the Cadale and Warsheikh areas of the Middle Shabelle region, have been conducting mobilization activities in the affected locations in recent days.

According to local reporting, these developments are linked to the recent security incidents in Mogadishu, during which Federal Government security forces conducted operations targeting residences occupied by members of the Union of Presidential Candidates, including former President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.

Speaking at an event held at Hirshabelle Village in Jowhar on the previous evening, former Hirshabelle President Ali Abdullahi Osoble stated:
